Plunkett Foundation has been the leading voice for rural community businesses since 1919, with 500 active members running vibrant community enterprises for the benefit of their community.
Having worked with Plunkett Foundation for many years, we were only too pleased to be asked to design their centenary logo.
We were asked to consider whether a tree that was used to symbolise their work in their early publications could be adapted to represent 100 years of growth and success. The final design is a lively, stylised tree with spreading, flowering branches that represent the growth and collaboration of enterprises over the years, as well as suggesting the strength and support of its roots.
The diversity of the Foundation’s schemes and projects and the sense of community and co-operation are represented by the different coloured leaves on the branches which break out of the typographic roundel on one side to suggest continued growth and potential.
Designed to sit alongside their main logo, the centenary logo has been applied to Plunkett Foundation’s website and all of their materials during the centenary year.
