War on Want fights against the root causes of poverty and human rights violation, as part of the worldwide movement for global justice.


War on Want reports

War on Want wanted to refresh the look and feel of their thorough and well-researched reports. Our brief was to achieve an updated, contemporary look, maintaining and developing their strong identity.

We developed a striking, hard-hitting design, featuring a textured hessian motif throughout, which echoed the distressed texture used on their logo. Using the texture through the report helps to break up the dense and solid black and gives the reports greater brand presence. To reinforce the down to earth textured theme, the reports are printed onto 100% recycled offset in a standard A4 format.

The New Colonialism is the latest report we have produced for War on Want in this format.

Updating Upfront

‘Up Front’ is War on Want’s supporter newsletter. Our brief was to develop a layout that would allow for greater flexibility for the content, moving away from one main theme per newsletter – and to achieve more space for stories and an engaging and informative cover image. We revised the page grid to allow for a lively and varied layout and incorporated larger images throughout.
