Essential WordPress plugins

Plugins give your website extra features and improved performance.

There are thousands of plugins available. A few of them are so good that we add them to almost every website we build. Several of these are ‘premium’ (i.e. paid) plugins, if we are maintaining your site we can add them at no extra cost.

Here is a list of plugins we install on the majority of sites. You will not need to touch most of them yourselves, but it’s useful to know they are there, working in the background.

The Yoast website is a good one-stop-shop for all SEO related info, with articles and guidance for everyone from absolute beginners to SEO experts.

Gravity Forms

We usually create forms for our clients, but you can use Gravity Forms yourselves if you wish and construct your own forms. As well as building forms, Gravity Forms saves your form data and statistics inside the CMS, as well as alerting you via email whenever a form is submitted.
